**IS OFFICIALLY OVER**

This was incredible! As my first contest, I was a little worried in the beginning that there wouldn't be anyone to enter. Thankfully, there were 11 entries - all Jacob-centric. Some were graphic and lemony, some scary and intense, but all of them were great in their own rights. I have to say that I was impressed by some of the ideas and I enjoyed reading every single one of them. I'll be forever grateful for those who took the time to entertain me and my love of Jacob.

Even with all of the entries, I wasn't able to give away my awesomely, awesome named awards (I'm not biased at all...really...), but we were able to put together a Judges' Choice and two Readers' Choices. All of the entries were fabulous, but after a week of public voting - and an almost 3 way tie - winners were determined. Without further ado, the winners of The Reluctant Reader's Bathed In Black contest are:

Thanks again to everyone who took the time to create a scene to read and to all who took the time to read, review, and vote for their favorites. I cannot express how much it meant to me to finally feel like I had a place within the Twilight fandom. It can be easy to overlook people in a place this huge and it's an incredible feeling knowing that there were fans out there who gave me the time of day at all.

Y'all made the contest because without you, there wouldn't be anything to read. 

I'd also like to say a special thank you to purelyamuse and FigSk8ingAngel for writing entries that weren't rated 'M', you two were the other two stories that were in the three-way tie. It was refreshing to see that there could be great stories that the fandom enjoyed that weren't heavy in curses or sexy times. In the end it came down to one anonymous vote, but I wanted to let you know that you two did a great job and to keep up the great work.

Objective:

     The inclusion of Jacob Black into the Twilight Saga has literally split the fandom in half; friend versus friend, mother versus daughter, dog versus...sparkly sexy vampires.

No matter the team preference, I want them all. Whether Jacob gets killed off by a rogue tsunami in space in New Moon or Bella bitch slaps Edward before she rides off into the sunset atop a russet wolf in Eclipse; I want to see everything. 'Bathed in Black' entries just have to be Jacob-centric (Jacob as a main character), but other than that, it's no holds barred! Slash, collaborations, Blackwater; it's all welcome. Criteria:
  • Jacob-centric, duh!
  • 2,000 word minimum
  • Beta preferred, but not required. (That being said, please, please recheck your work. I'd hate to miss out because of run-on sentences and comma slices.)
  • Let's stay away from bestiality/rape/incest and keep the pedophilia to Renesmee only
  • Any POV/multiple POV's accepted
  • One Shots only -you can continue once winners are announced
  • Please submit only works created for this contest; no previously made stories.
  • Collaborations welcome
  • Slash welcome (please rate your story accordingly)
  • Lemons are not required, but will be accepted (please rate your story accordingly)
  • AU/AH/Crackfic all accepted
  • Two story entry limit.
